The Vision Behind Little Joe’s Farmstead
Little Joe’s Farmstead’s newly-remodeled establishment provides Argyle’s growing community with a warm and and inviting café and porch, serving delicious local food in a comfortable family atmosphere. However there is a mission behind Little Joe’s Farmstead that’s more than just a great place to eat, drink and gather.
Our Growing Mission
Little Joe’s Farmstead was established within the Argyle Business District with the encouragement and cooperation by the Town of Argyle in 2004. It was built as an extended vision that originated with Little Matt’s restaurant in 2009 in West University Place, Texas.
Our original vison came alive after a difficult time when owner Jim Reid’s son was fighting cancer for the second time in his life. It was his desire to honor his son Kevin with a venue that would bring families together within the West University Place community – as a place to witness and provide kindness, faith, love and hope to all those dealing with pediatric cancer. Little Matt’s opened with a Catholic Mass and to this day still celebrating the blessings that are presented through our Higher Power.
Our goal, a passion project, has been to donate proceeds from our restaurants to Texas Children’s Hospital, while spreading encouragement and gratefulness in the surrounding communities. Our goal is do same for our community here in Argyle, Texas and DFW.
A Historic Landmark
Little Joe’s Farmstead, built in the 1960, has been a historic part of Argyle for more than a half century – as a residence, fueling station, grocery and market. Today, it’s home to Little Joe’s Farmstead and Argyle Christian Academy.
